What A Wonderful World

Today is Opah's birthday! :)

And yesterday was Abah's birthday! :D

We are celebrating both birthdays tonight. Dinner at Dan's! :)

I spent the evening yesterday with Dan and Nana and their families (minus the daddies) at Bangsar Village. We had tea and bought presents for Opah and Abah.

When we're together, Nana, Dan and I can hardly ever stay inconspicuous. We were being pretty crazy.

When we were bringing our little sisters to Delicious, we started sprinting down the bridge connecting the old and new wings, and people were staring at us like we were crazy; which, like I said, we were.

Going down an escalator, Dan, Nana and I started singing Always Be My Baby (Mariah Carey) together. I guess we were singing it a tad bit too loud, because the lady in front of us turned around to look at us. Haha. She smiled though, so I suppose she wasn't annoyed. All the same, we stopped singing. For a while.

Later, Dan and I had to go to the toilet, and they were playing some Il Divo-type song, and I told Dan to imitate it (because she likes to sing in opera-ish style that breaks my eardrums) so she did. Really loudly. (I was laughing while peeing) When we walked out, the two cleaning ladies were talking about us and how Dan's singing scared them. HAHA. I couldn't stop laughing.

At Delicious, Nana was being her usual crazy, ridiculous self, and I won't bother explaining what she said and did, but I laughed so hard my stomach hurt.

Nana and I drew on a Delicious place mat:

I love it. I hung it up on my bedroom wall. xD

And this is what Dan did on her placemat:

Best story evar. :D

After tea at Delicious, Dan, Nana and I went to the stationery shop opposite the new wing. I don't remember what it's called, but I love it. xD We spent quite a while there and were being crazy and noisy all the time. The shop people kept stalking us around the shop to make sure we didn't steal anything. Haha.

Before heading home, Dan and I went to the toilet again (the same one) and one of the cleaning ladies was there, and she said to Dan, "Jangan nyanyi lagi, ye..." and laughed. xD

It was pretty late once I got back home. Made this card for Opah:

Before

I drew the brick pattern with chalk.

After

Ended up sleeping at 3AM. D:

Well I see trees of green and red roses too,
I'll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You

So give them blood, blood, gallons of the stuff!
Give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough.
-Blood, My Chemical Romance

Oh, what fun. : ) And I drew all that while listening to Celine Dion songs. :D

So give them blood, blood, blood

Grab a glass because there's going to be a flood.

Curiouser and curiouser...

"Oh, I know!" exclaimed Alice, who had not attended to this last remark. "It's a vegetable. It doesn't look like one, but it is."

"I quite agree with you," said the Duchess; "and the moral of that is-'Be what you would seem to be'-or, if you'd like it put more simply-'Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you have been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."

- Alice's Adventures In Wonderland; Lewis Carroll

Introducing my newest character, Mango. : )

That is all.

If I could soar I would try

to take these wings and fly

I'm Lovin' It

Last Friday (18/4) was Anji's birthday. We had a small celebration at Opah's. This is what my siblings and I got for her:

It's a compact mirror. I love the owl. : >

Aaaaand, this is the card I made:

REALLY proud of it. : ) Cutting out the tail and wing was a pain, and it took me more than six hours, but I had so much fun making it. :D

Once again, everyone kept telling me I should sell them. Auntie Rozie said she wants to commission me to make T-lynn's birthday card. She said she's gonna pay me! : O The theme: 101 Dalmatians. She assured me that I do not have to actually make 101 dalmatians. : P
Anji got us stuff too, from her latest trip to Hanoi. For me, this:

IpaNima leather wallet. <3>

And this:

Kain for Julia and me to make our baju kurung raya. : )

Lisa came to Opah's house too. But Nana was absent, because she went to Prefect Camp that day. : (

So it was just a DAE day.

Grabbed from Lisa. : )

I got three new books the other day. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, (watched the movie premiere with Dan and Lisa, and it was great!) The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery, (I've NO clue how to pronounce that) and Through The Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll, who rocks. : )

I also, um, got this thing:

Apparently, it's a pencil case, but it's really more a stuffed toy than anything else. It was too ridiculous and cute to resist. : P I mean, it's not everyday you come across a pencil case in the shape of a hot dog with a face and limbs...

Yesterday was a Lazy Sunday for me. I spent the entire day watching TV. Ghost Rider, followed by CSI, (all three) and Rumour Has It, Mythbusters, (Adam and Jamie are the best x3) Godzilla, (I felt sorry for Zilla when they killed him : ( ) and lastly, The Pursuit Of Happyness.

Audrey: If he's the first of his kind, how did he get pregnant? Doesn't he need a mate?

Nick: Not if he reproduces asexually.

Audrey: Where's the fun in that?

HAHAHAHAHAHA. (from Godzilla, btw) I love Matthew Broderick. Mostly because he was the voice of Adult Simba. : P

I'm gonna go continue reading The Book Of Lost Things (John Connolly) now. It's so wonderfully violent. <3

*grumble*

DAMN IT, I CAN'T EAT PROPERLY.

Solid foods make my mouth hurt. : ( I am living on soup and porridge, mostly. And the few times I eat solid food, I have to eat v e r y s l o w l y . . . . . . . (YES, slower than usual) And I eat with my head tilted towards the right so that the food stays on the right side, away from my sore gums. If not for the circumstances, I would laugh.

To add to the whole tooth extraction pain, I have an ulcer in my mouth, even though I drink quite a lot. Julia hardly drinks at all, and she has never gotten an ulcer. THE INJUSTICE!

And don't get me started on brushing my teeth.

D:

This pic more or less summarises my mood right now:

Well, on the bright side, Mama saved 2 of those purdy cupcakes for me, which were well worth eating, despite my sore mouth. : )

BUT STILL. Everything's wrong. >: (

EVERYTHING.

"This is going to feel like an ant bite"

Guess what.

I EXTRACTED A TOOTH TODAY.

Look at the monster:

I don't know yet whether to get braces or not, but the orthodontist said whatever it is, she recommended I extract that tooth, cuz when I get older it might cause problems to my jaw joints or something like that. So yeah.

Yes, I was scared I suppose. I mean, who wouldn't be scared if someone wanted to pull out one of your teeth with a couple of pliers (that's what they looked like)? Plus I was alone in there. Mama and Abah were waiting outside. : P

The orthodontist and her assistant were nice though. : )

Dr Hanizah told me the shot would feel like an ant bite... *humourless laugh* Well, it was one heck of an ant bite. I felt like saying "holy shit" but it's hard to say anything when you've got a needle in your mouth.

After I got the shot, I realized I was trembling. : O Then came the time for the actual extraction...

Well, it didn't hurt, obviously, but it was still kind of nerve-wracking.

It DID get painful after a while though, when the numbness wore off. Back home, I tried to get my mind off the pain by watching cartoons. After watching Spongebob, PPG and Fairly Odd Parents, I managed to fall asleep and when I woke up, the pain had lessened. : )

Now it's almost all gone, and I took the gauze out of my mouth. When I ran my toungue over the place where my tooth was, I felt this gummy emptiness that felt weird. I was like "Holy shiitake, I have a hole in my mouth!" but then I realized that my mouth IS a hole... : P

Before going to the orthodontist's we went to Amcorp Mall, which was nearby. I bought this from a stall at the flea market:

It's a 'ittle husky magnet. x3 It was too cute to resist. And I like huskies. Too bad I can't have one. : ( The stall lady kept saying "Thank you, Miss!" : )

Big Husky and ittle Husky : )

When I got big Husky (around 10 years ago...?) I was asking my brothers what they suggested I should call him, and Arif said "Husky". At the time I don't think I knew what a Husky was, and just thought of it as "dog". So I thought "Husky" was a brilliant name. So "Husky" it was. xD

I love my Huskies. :3

Oooh, Mama also bought these purdy cupcakes:

But but I CAN'T EAT THEM. ; ___ ;

Oh, well. At least... at least... uh...

Dang, I wanna eat those cupcakes. : (

Oh how wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying.

Yay For New Stuff!

I bought new colour pencils today. They are awesome.

Look at them - LOOK AT THEM- and try and tell me they're not beautiful. They're gorgeous! The most beautiful things I've seen today!
Well, except for my reflection in the mirror.

...

I'm JOKING.

Anywhos, these are my old colours:

LOOK! THEY'RE LATERALLY INVERSED! Yes, I know they're still usable, but some of them are really short.

You see? So I needed (read: wanted) new ones.

LOOK WHAT I FOUND IN ONE OF MY OLD BUKU CONTENGS.

The Four Brothers

There were once four brothers
Who were very brave;
If someone was in danger,
That person they would save.

They helped to kill the monsters
That reduced the cliffs to rubble;
But when the brothers slew them,
No longer was there trouble.

One day the youngest said
“Let’s all go on a quest;
We’ll go our separate ways,
To see who fares best.”

So the next day they woke early
To set off down the road;
Though they carried heavy burdens,
They did not feel the load.

The first became a knight
The second earned a lot;
The third was a soldier,
But the fourth was not.

The first three ended up rich
But the fourth had no wealth;
He was grateful all the same,
To have friends and good health.

Though he was very brave
His village suffered no threats.
So he lived a simple life
Selling straw hats.

He was happy with his life
And did not mind a bit;
He loved the peaceful village
And for that village he was fit.

One day he went out hunting
For he needed some food;
And without a second thought,
He went deep into the wood.

Evening soon came
And night followed suit;
He stumbled around
Trying to find the right route.

An hour soon passed
But he was still lost;
He started to shiver,
In the cold midnight frost.

Too tired to go on
He decided to rest;
He would try again tomorrow,
And hope for the best.

When he woke up he noticed
A pillow cushioning his head;
And on his thin aching body,
A blanket lay spread.

When he sat up he saw
An old man was sitting;
Under an oak tree,
He sat there just waiting.

The old man then asked him
“What are you called?”
But a name he had not,
The man was appalled.

The old man decided
To call him Fourth One;
Fourth One felt quite pleased,
For a name he no longer had none.

Fourth One asked the man
If he knew the way around;
But the man did not answer,
Not a word, not a sound.

The old man turned away
And started to walk;
Towards a small clearing,
But still did not talk.

When he stopped he said
Before Fourth One could ask;
“To find the way home,
Complete these three tasks.”

For the first task he had to
Obtain a golden crown;
He stole it from an ogre,
Who lived under ground.

The second task required
A trip to a dragon’s lair;
An enchanted sword,
Lay waiting there.

The third and last task
Was to get a diamond throne;
From a guard dog it was traded,
In exchange for a bone.

The tasks were completed
Fourth One felt real clever;
He returned to the village,
As happy as ever.

One day the king came
And rounded up the people;
He gave an announcement,
As they gathered at the steeple.

Three of his possessions
Were stolen by a thief;
The king could not find him,
Much to his grief.

When Fourth One heard this,
He quickly ran home;
To get the three items,
The crown, the sword, the throne.

Fourth One was rewarded
He was poor no more;
But he still sells the hats,
That he makes out of straw!

Yaye, poems. :D And here's another one!

Broccoli

For all my life
I have been turned down;
Whenever they see me,
They shudder, they frown.

I’ve never been liked
The children all hate me,
The sight of me on tables,
Makes kids want to flee.

I’m forever detested
Too disgusting to like;
Alone in the world,
Subjected to spite.

I lead a sad life
Oh, the pity;
Despised by all children,
That’s me, the broccoli.

I quite like broccoli, actually.

Wrote those in 2004, lol.

I can see it in your eyes under the moon as it plays

like music every line

Let's See How Far We've Come

I unearthed some old drawings from a box in my room last night, and I was thinking to myself, "Thank God my drawing skills have improved..." So I decided to redraw some of my old drawings from 2002-2006. : )

Yay!

I sat down on the street, took a look at myself
said where you going man you know the world is headed for hell

First.

IT'S ALIVE!
Alright, people, first post ever since I made this blog in, what? January?

Yesterday was Omar's birthday party.

OMAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!

His actual birthday was on the 27th though. He's five years old now. Yay, Omar! : )

The party was held at a playground right outside Auntie Tia's mom's house. It was pretty hot, but fun all the same. The theme was 'Your Personal Hero'. I dressed as myself! But only because I didn't know there was a theme until it was too late.

When I got there, Dan and Nana hadn't arrived yet, so I hung out with Didi. Twice, some little kid (his cousins, I think) pointed to us, laughing, and said in a sing-song voice, "You've got a girfriend!" It was quite amusing.

I haven't got pictures of the actual party (I'll steal some from Dan later) but I did take a few snapshots of the birthday card I made. : )

I had a lot of fun making it, and I'm really happy with the result! Everyone says I should start selling my handmade cards... Maybe I will. : ) Anyone interested?

To those who miss my book and my doodles, here's some of my recent drawings and random pages from my current book. : )
