Shine

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, new blogskin!!! :D And blog name.

I spent almost the entire day yesterday and all of this morning looking through the blogskins at BlogSkins.com. There was so many really nice ones, so it was pretty hard to decide... :P In the end, I found this one and tadaah~ :)

You like?

I'm trying to learn HTML now, so that I can make my own blogskins (and website too!) one day. It's confusing, but fun. In a confusing way. :P

Oh, and look! I bought three new notebooks!!! And aren't they adorable.

The cat is your lover, man. Don't get me wrong, I don't like princesses. I like cats.

Ironically, this book will lack any romantic stories whatsoever. Trust me.

F**king adorable! I just couldn't resist.

Scheduler. Is that a word? I figure I'll probably be using one of those SOMEday, right? And if I don't... Well, by the time I realize that, it won't make much difference anyway. Plus I'd have another really cute thing to add to my clutter of cute but more or less useless stuff.

*sigh* This is what happens when people give me money. Altogether, they cost RM33.70. My goodness. Well, at least I'll definitely be using the other two.

I have no sense of self-control when I'm in a bookshop with a pocketful of cash.

You Give Me Something

I got tag'd by Bree. D:

Rules :
1. Each player of this game starts off with 15 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself.
2. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 15 weird things/habits/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly.
3. At the end, you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names.
4. No tags back!!

Sometimes these things are borderline fun, but I've done this one before...

1. Sometimes, when I'm fed up of all the songs on my computer, I listen to The Lion King. The movie I mean. Not the soundtrack. (In fact, I'm doing it right now.)
2. I know practically ALL the words in The Lion King and always "sing along" when I'm listening to it.
3. When I was little, my ambition was to be a lion.
4. I can only eat Tic-Tacs, peanuts, MnMs, etc in even numbers.
5. My cousins and I often quote F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
6. The Voice in My Head is named Carl.
7. Split ends freak me out.
8. My first ever celebrity crush was Leonardo DiCaprio, after watching Titanic.
9. I often wake up to find cuts and scratches somewhere on my body without knowing where they came from. (It just happened again today.)
10. I don't like feeling full. It makes me nauseous.
11. I like drawing thighs. xD
12. I get claustrophobic if I put my head underneath my blanket.
13. Blood and gore interests me.
14. I find it harder to draw people facing towards the right.
15. I tend to favor stories that have elements of tragedy in them. : And fantasy.

And now I tag...

1. Lisa
2. Fairy

3. Sarah
4. Shari
5. King
6. Esther
7. Jue
8. Nique
9. Zhen
10. Ieka

Yay!

Timon: He looks blue.
Pumbaa: I'd say brownish gold.
Timon: No, I mean he's depressed.

HBAR!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE ROZIE!!! xD

Heheh, I got a little carried away in Photoshop... :P

Anyways, we celebrated her birthday at Opah's yesterday. After lunch, Dan and I went to Atria where I got Auntie Rozie's birthday present-a pair of fine china mugs with roses on em. Then we went to the Big Bookshop book fest thing and Dan got 3 books, one of which is a detective story. With sheeps as the detectives. I can't wait to borrow it. xD

Then we went to get the birthday cake at Auntie Asma's house. Tiramisu~ :) There were 3 cats there, one of which was really really fluffy! I loved burying my fingers in its fur. xD

Then we went back to Opah's where Nana had already come back from tuition. We had tea while Dan and Nana made birthday cards from their family, and I made one from Opah.

The card I made the night before:

I gave the girl on the card a name: Hanako. HA-NA-KO. It means "flower child". :) Btw, her name is Ros Mawar. Hence.

I can't write hiragana very well. :P

After making the cards, Nana, Dan and I played a game. There was a basket of langsats on the table, and we'd take one and guess whether it was bitter, or sweet, or sour, or tasteless. It was Nana's idea. x3 Then we played with Nadia (WHO IS UBER EFFING CUTE. I love it when she laughs.) kejap before going upstairs to the Girls' Room.

We had the cake after dinner. Man, it was goo-ood! Hahah.

Look what Dan drew for me:

It's called the EPOM monster. I gave her 4 words: extortion, plagiarism, obsolete, and minuscule, and she drew whatever image came to mind when I said them. I love it. :D

Next week is my last week of holidays. Boo. :( But I suppose I am kind of looking forward to the new semester. And what's more Huda's gonna be studying in the same place.

I spent the morning cleaning out the hamsters' cages. Thoroughly. It was...fun. :P But not pretty. Note to a certain new hamster owner, I advise you not to put off cleaning the cage for too long, or you're up for some stinky business. Then again, I suppose not everyone goes to the lengths to actually use soap and really scrub at their pets' cages.

In the end, you feel much better after doing a proper job.

It's Gonna Rain

HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY ELISA ASHLYN!!! :)

Yes, picture was filched from her blog, so what? xD

And also HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO FEE'S MOM!!! :)

Btw, I wasn't there; Fee gave me the picture. :P

Yesterday was the Cukur Jambul, like I said. Lookit the pelamin-thingy!!!

Frickin' canggih right. The whole setting was really cool. Not to mention really pink. Good job, people! x3

Hanan and Nadia were both riDICulously adorable. :D Fairy and Han came too. Us big girls were given the job to give out the gifts to the guests.

The pink bags were for all the ladies. The special heart-shaped boxes were for the mahaban ladies (and the extra ones for the close relatives), and the teddy bears were for the teenies. Meaning I got one too. xD Damn awesome, man.

The men didn't really get anything... Except air yasin, which really is much better than the rest of the stuff. :P

By the time it was lunchtime, Dan and I were still kecoh-ing about, passing around bottles of air yasin, so we ended up eating after the other 4 girls. Haha, we were so hungry. x3 The food was goo-ood!! I want more.

We had a jelly cake for Lisa before Nana had to leave to get ready for her salsa performance. After that we mostly just sat around and chatted. Fairy and I also played with Salma. She is SO CUTE. xD

Around 3 or so, us girls went off to get changed for Nana's IU Day. I followed Lisa to her house while Dan and Fairy went to the Husswan residence. By the time we got back to Tok Cik's house, it was around 3 something, so we left for KBU College after saying goodbye to everyone.

Overall, the event was okay. It reminded me of SA's Interact Valentine's Day thing last year. It was...different, actually. :P

Nana though, was tres awesome!!! Hot, Nana, hot. xD See, we told you you'd be great!

A bunch of us walked to McD later to eat, duh. I went home around 8. Sent Dan and Fairy to their respective houses before heading home.

Damn, I was tired. Still, I didn't go to sleep any earlier than usual.

Stayed up watching Juno. I loved it. :)

Aite, I'mma go help Mama clean lalas now.

Relax, Take It Easy

I just got home from Opah's, and am in a state of bra-less bliss. Heheh. That was just the line that popped into my head when I took off my bra. xD

I was pretty much alone throughout the day. Alone meaning without Nana or Dan, that is. I was still surrounded by the rest of the lot. Dan was at school, helping with preparations for Scouts gathering tomorrow. Nana was having tuition.

So after lunch, I went upstairs and watched National Geographic while flipping through an IKEA catalogue. This is what I like to do. Watch animal documentaries and flip through IKEA magazines. :)

Anyways, I was quite happy watching TV. I was planning to watch The Producers on HBO after the documentary (about people in Thailand working with King Cobras), but then Mama said I was to follow the rest of them to Tok Cik's house to help out with the preparations for Nadia and Hanan's cukur jambul which is tomorrow.

I was pretty bummed. :(

But I had quite some fun at Tok Cik's house. After tying bows to the yasin bottles, I mostly looked after the kids on and off with Acap, making sure they didn't kill themselves one way or another. I was Armand's personal escort, following him loyally wherever he felt like going, watching that he didn't fall into a fish-infested pond, or get too close to the melee of rowdy boys (Adam, Imran and Omar, that is). The boys were playing outside, while Armand sat in a safe place (my lap) to watch them. One day, when he's older, he's gonna be one of those crazy boys...

Later, when Kak Tin brought Armand off to minum susu, I took to following Imran and Omar around, talking to them. The three of us were sitting outside, playing rock paper scissors. Imran kept telling me what to do, and Omar kept saying "I cut you!" with his scissors-fingers, no matter what it was I pulled out, may it be paper, scissors, or rock. It was funny.

Then I got tired and went into one of the rooms to lie down, after taking the two boys to wash their black feet. Cami and Acap went back to their house to mengaji, and Adam and Sarah followed, so Julia, Imran and Omar accompanied me in the room. After a while, Salma came in to. She's so cute!!! xD I actually heard her talk today. She kept pulling at Omar's hand. Haha. Omar, you have an admirer!!! x3

Then around 5 something, Mama, Opah, Julia and I went back to Opah's because we had mengaji too, and Ustad was coming there. He came around 7 or so, and I spent the time before that bathing and then sleeping.

After ngaji, I made myself a toasted cheese sandwich which was goooood. xD And then I read a bit, wandered around a bit, stared into space a bit.

Then Uncle Zak and Auntie Tia arrived, followed by Abah, then Nana, and we had dinner.

And here I am now.

DA changed its look again. Pretty darn cool, though at first I was all shocked and thinking, "What the hell did they do to my message box?" But so far I'm liking the new look. :)

Well, I better get to sleep now. Gotta wake up early tomorrow to go for the cukur jambul. After that, I'm gonna go watch Nana perform at her school's IU Day (don't remember what it stands for). She's opening with Salsa!! Yay! :)

Sometimes I wonder
"Why is that frisbee getting bigger?"
...and then it hits me.

She's totally teasing you.

Carl: It's pictures like these that make me question your sexuality.
Hey, it's not my fault I can't draw sexy guys. No wait. I suppose it is my fault.

Sorry, Dan, you were at band practice. :(

Love Today

Yesterday was Ain's birthday~ And like I said, we celebrated it on Sunday. It was at an Indian restaurant, not Thai. The food was gooooooooood. I actually enjoyed the meal. :D

My mouth is watering thinking of it. *drools*

It was great. I had a lot of fun, being with that noisy and kecoh family of mine.

Nana: This restaurant would probably be quiet without us.

I wholly agree with you, Nana. The kids (and sometimes the rest of us too) were so noisy. It was a nice feeling being surrounded by all of them. :)

We balik-ed around 10 or so. Couldn't have asked for a better way to end my weekend. :)

And as fun as it was to sleep over at Dan's, it felt so good to be back home. Anyway, I missed my bolster and Blanky. :P

The card I made for Ain:

That wing was NOT easy to make. All those individual feathers... But it was fun. :) It's a Blue jay. A cyanocitta cristata. Heheh.

Nana and Dan say they are gonna make a company to sell my cards. She said I'd get 50% of the profit. I think I should get it all, Na.

So then she was making a survey to see what price to sell them for. The beginning price was 15.50, but Auntie Tia said she wouldn't buy it for that price. So we went to 12.90.

Nana: Auntie Azah, would you buy this for 15.50 or 12.90?
me: Nana, obviously she would buy it for the cheaper price!!
Mama: I would ask her to make it for me for free.
Nana: But it's got LOVE!!!

Nana, I'd like to think that my love is worth more than just 15.50 or 12.90.

Did y'all know that there's a bird called a Booby? No, seriously. Go and Google it.

me: It's a bird, it's a plane! No, it's a BOOBY!!!

Nana: What are you calling? A Booby.

Dan, Fee, Nana, Fairy and I were laughing our asses off about it.

I've been watching Friends since I woke up. Amir downloaded seasons 5 and 7. They are so high-wait for it-LARIOUS!!!

...I want to watch Ugly Betty. Marc the gay guy is just awesome. Mean, I know. But awesome.
Time for more comedy!!!

The Last Fight

Mama and Abah went to Perak on Friday to send Amir back to college, so I slept over at Dan's. After lunch at Opah's we parted ways. The Husswans and I went back to the Husswan residence while The Ramlis (minus me and Arif, and plus Opah) set off for Perak.

After the Husswan kids mengaji-ed, Dan, Acap, Husaini and I went out. We picked up C (I dunno how to spell his name, so it's gonna be C for now. Sorry for the inconvenience.) and then went to Brendan's house for band practice.

By the time we got home from that, it was around 8pm. After dinner, Dan and I watched What Happened In Vegas, which was hilarious. Then I called Fee (with Dan's phone) and we chatted for..."such a long time" as Dan put it.

Then we played around with the piano for a while before going to bed.

The next morning was Husaini's birthday! :D

It was also the day of Lisa's birthday party. Fee came over around 8.15 and spent the day with us. :)

It started off with breakfast, then we (and Cams, Kak Tin and Mandey) went to Czip Lee to get stationery. Dan and I also bought stuff for Husaini. Practical and useful stuff. :3 Then we sent Cams to piano class. Dan and I did our hair at Kool Kutz, then we went present-shopping, since Dan hadn't gotten a present for Lisa yet.

She got a stuffed cat, and we named him Timothy Spot. :)

Then it was back home time, where we ate lunch, and then Dan had to go off for more band practice, so it was just Fee and me. Oh, and the ever-present Cami of course.

Fee was using Kyouya (Dan's laptop), listening to songs, chatting online and Facebook-ing while I was writing "Elisa's Sixteenth" on the guestbook. It took...quite a while.

Huda came online for a while and we had a video call conversation where Huda could hear us but we couldn't hear Huda, and neither of us could see each other (except Fee and me lah, since we were together). That made us both incredibly jakon, and dorky, and lame, and giggly. I laughed so much my stummy hurt. It was very fun. :)

In the middle of all that hyperness and tummy pain and laugh-tears, Dan returned. By then it was around 5pm, so we all bathed and got ready.

Dan and I had to persuade Fee to wear her purple dress and not jeans. "Persuade" meaning Dan had to bring away the jeans and keep her eye on Fee. LOL.

Well, she did wear her purple dress in the end, and her high high heels, like I told Dan she'd wear. She looked positively hot. >:D

Getting ready can be very kecoh sometimes. Eventually, we were ready and so we left for the party, which was at The Treehouse, Damansara Utama.

Upon getting there, Dan and I discovered that we'd forgotten the sparkly pens for writing in the guestbook, so that sucked. But then Uncle Wan sent them over. Hooray for Uncle Wan, our hero! Yay we love you, dude. :D

The birthday party day girl. :)

Playing with Didi's guitar...

Happy Birthday to Lisaaa... (LISA!!!)

Husaini, your cake is smaller...

Trying to do the waltz. Or the tango. The twaltz. Or the wango. xD

Say "aah", sayang!! (not "ahh", Fee)

And then there was the DALE picture. :)

Hung out with Dan, Fee and Fairy for the most part of the party. We were being very very lame and dorky. It was tre magnifique. :D

Obviously, Acap and his band performed, with Dan as the vocals. But first was Didi. First he sang Wonderwall, then a song that he wrote and composed himself. I don't know if it had a title, but it is awesome. Next was an acoustic guitar song that he also composed himself which he gave the name "Lisa". I loved it!!! Damn, Didi. DAMN.

Acap and band performed two songs: Sk8ter Boi and The Last Fight (Velvet Revolver, not Guns N Roses). They were great! Next best band in Malaysia! Right on, Husaini!!! xD And when they make an album, they're gonna gimme a free copy. With autographs. :D

The rest of the night was filled with dancing (not much on my part though, seeing as I can't dance for cashew nuts), food, ice lemon tea, toilet trips and dorkiness. The last one referring to Dan, Fee, Fairy and I. Of course.

When we got home, it was around midnight. Oh gosh. I was...tired. Both ways.

Fee went home, and C and Brendan were sent home while Husaini slept over. And me too.

Dan and I had to watch something to get our minds...to think about other things, so we watched Powerpuff Girls. xD It was one of my favourite episodes, the one where it's raining and the girls play pretend to get rid of their boredom. Heheh, it's so cute! xD

Then we watched the ending for a movie called The Breed, which is about a bunch of killer dogs. Dan was right about there being no survivors. Haha.

Then we went to bed, where we lay in the dark and talked about everything and anything before falling asleep. :)

And here I am now, the next morning. Dan went to piano class. And...I haven't bathed yet. :P

I better go do that now.

Later we are going to celebrate Ain's birthday, which is tomorrow. We are going to have dinner at some Thai restaurant, methinks. Imran and Omar are gonna be there, so I can't wait. I need their craziness right now. In a way, it's relaxing. Plus I miss 'em.

After bathing, I'm gonna watch FRIENDS. YAY.

This fight could be the last fight
No giving no winning
One time could be the overtime
Should we decide ti end the misery
